Our story
We started MARAM because buying gold in Dubai asks you to be an expert or to trust a stranger. We thought there was a third option.
The problem we started with
If you buy gold in the souk, the price you pay is the rate, plus the weight, plus a making charge you negotiate. Some people are good at that. Most are not, and the ones who are not pay more.
If you buy from a mall counter instead, the negotiation disappears and so does the arithmetic. You get one number on a tag. You have no way to tell how much of it is metal, how much is the stone, and how much is the shop.
Both of those are fine if you already know what gold weighs and what it costs. We wanted to sell to everyone else.
What we did instead
Every piece on this site shows its karat, its gram weight and its stone size before you buy. The Dubai 22k rate sits at the top of every page and updates through the day. Open the breakdown on any product and you will see four lines: the gold at today's rate, the stones, the craftsmanship, and the VAT.
That is the whole idea. We do not think it is clever. We think it is strange that nobody else does it.
It also means our prices move. When the rate goes up, so does the gold portion of what you pay. When it drops, you pay less. We hold whatever rate you saw for thirty minutes once a piece is in your bag.
Where the work happens
We cast, set and finish at Unit 24 in Gold & Diamond Park, Al Quoz. It is a working bench, not a showroom, and you can collect from it. Our boutique at City Walk is where you go to try things on.
Nine people work on the bench. The longest-serving has been setting stones for twenty-two years. We mention this because "handmade" is a word that has stopped meaning anything, and a number is harder to fake.
What we will not do
- Quote a price without showing the weight behind it.
- Call a lab-grown diamond anything other than a lab-grown diamond.
- Run a permanent sale and pretend it ends on Sunday.
- Charge you to resize a ring we sized wrong.

Bring a scale. Genuinely. If a piece does not weigh what this site says it weighs, we will refund it and you keep it.
